The newest tool to assist dairyman in
feed bunk management. Have you ever noticed that when
there is fresh feed in the bunk cows eat more? Have
you also noticed that they also seem to investigate
and eat more when the feed is pushed up? Simply put
cows become finicky as the feed gets older. The solution
is simple! We need to push up feed as often as possible.
One problem, though, is how busy we have become on
dairies.
Through videotape analysis we have noticed
that pushing up feed sometimes get placed on the back
burner as things crop up during the day. The FeedPro™,
automated Feed Push Up System, is made to solve that
problem. This system frees the dairyman up for other
things, but still makes sure the feed is always available
for the cows. By videotaping the FeedPro™ in
action, you notice that some cows always come up once
the machine is turned on. It’s like a dinner
bell announcing that feed is available. It also mixes
the feed back together making it fresher so that more
submissive cows get the proper ration that you want.
The result is more balanced cow meals
which will directly affect cow intakes, proper rumination,
and milk production levels. All in all, this system
puts money back into the dairyman’s pocket every
day.
